Hello! I’m Jessica Colley Clarke, a freelance writer and curious traveler living in New York City.
My work has appeared in AFAR magazine, The New York Times, Saveur, Bon Appetit, Conde Nast Traveler, BBC Travel, The Daily Beast, The Financial Times, New York magazine, TASTE, Departures, The San Francisco Chronicle, and World Hum among other publications.
I’m interested in telling stories that locals know about but aren’t always covered in travel journalism.
Currently, I am finishing my MFA at Columbia University in Nonfiction Writing and am at work on a memoir.
I have worked as an editor, copywriter, literary magazine gofer, junior librarian, waitress, and harvest hand (for one day). Beyond New York City and Ireland–a destination I explore regularly in my writing–I have lived in Miami, Berlin, Oxford, and the Campania region of Italy, but I love having a cappuccino somewhere new.
