Jessica Colley Clarke is a freelance writer and curious traveler living in New York City.
Her work has appeared in AFAR magazine, The New York Times, Saveur, Bon Appetit, Conde Nast Traveler, BBC Travel, The Daily Beast, The Financial Times, New York magazine, TASTE, Departures, The San Francisco Chronicle, and World Hum among other publications.
She’s interested in telling stories that locals know about but aren’t always covered in travel journalism.
Currently, she is finishing a MFA at Columbia University in Nonfiction Writing and is at work on a memoir.
She has worked as an editor, copywriter, literary magazine gofer, junior librarian, waitress, and harvest hand (for one day). Beyond New York City and Ireland–a destination she explores regularly in her writing–she has lived in Miami, Berlin, Oxford, and the Campania region of Italy, but loves having a cappuccino somewhere new.
